Birkenstock: Cologne, Amsterdam, Den Haag design by Carbon Studio/ADH Design

For Birkenstock, we realized the interior fit-out of three new stores in Cologne, Amsterdam, and The Hague. All three are based on the beautiful design by Carbon Studio in collaboration with ADH Design. The interior revolves around rounded shapes, natural and high-quality materials, and an atmosphere that is as soft as the footbed we all love to walk on. Attention, craftsmanship, and skilled handwork are present in every detail.

For the large display furniture in Cologne and Amsterdam, we worked with a Portuguese cork supplier. The cork used is leftover material from the production of bottle corks—you can see this in the holes where the corks were punched out. Residual material from a European and renewable source, just the way we like it.

For the The Hague store, we developed stained-glass panels made from recycled acrylic: a contemporary interpretation of a centuries-old technique. The iconic sole pattern truly comes to life.

Beautiful work! All the benches, seats, and poufs were upholstered in our own workshop by upholsterer Jolien.
